Meet the Owners of R & M Quality Windows and Doors
R & M Quality Windows and Doors has been a family run business since 1994. Long time friends and business partners Ron and Mike, the R and the M behind R & M Quality Windows and Doors, have been serving the greater Bay Area for more than 17 years.
Ron’s Story:
After graduating from high school in 1977 Ron joined the Navy and completed his required active duty in 1981. He then went on to Aviation School (Airframe/Power Plant School) to become certified to work in the airline field. After being unable to find work in the aviation field Ron took up truck driving, and shortly thereafter went to work for his cousin doing custom wood work, such as trim packages, base boards, crown molding, cabinetry and doors. Ron later went to work for Mike and became partners hence, R & M Quality Windows and Doors! He has a wonderful wife, four grown children, and a grandchild. Ron’s hobbies include boating, BBQ’s and riding his Harley with friends and family.
Mike’s Story:
Mike joined the Coast Guard in 1977 and went on to Coast Guard School to become a Coxswain. After being injured during service, Mike was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran. In 1981 Mike ventured into the glass industry working in Oakland, CA for Cobble and Kibbe, the largest glass company on this side of the Mississippi. As an allied worker in the glazer union, Mike did all types of work cutting glass and making insulated units. After showing true dedication to his work and maintaining a positive attitude he was promoted to a management position after two years of employment. A few years later Mike opened his own company selling windows and doors to the greater Bay Area. In 1986 Full Spectrum Industries, which later became R & M Quality Windows and Doors was born.
